New Owners for Bedarra

The family owned Charlton Hotel Group have today settled the purchase of Bedarra Island Resort.
The group will be undertaking repairs and refurbishments to the resort as a result of damage sustained during Cyclone Yasi. A sustainability analysis will be undertaken in conjunction with the repairs to assess the population density the island can support, particularly in relation to waste, water and energy requirements. The analysis will most likely result in a reduction in the number of villas on the island and a shortened opening season for the resort.

Refurbishment works will commence early in the new year, with reservation enquiries being taken from late 2012.
